Artist's Description

Morning mist at the entrance to Grand Prismatic Spring, located in the Midway Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park is the largest hot spring in the United States, and the third largest in the world. We had been there the previous evening to see the spectacular 300 foot diameter multi-colored "boiling lake" as it was referred to by early fur traders and as the sun got higher in the sky we had quite the visual feast awaiting us.
