Description
We were on our way to our motel when we spotted a large white calcium formation [travertine] with a steaming hot waterfall... we quickly turned around and found one of the major wonders of the park and our trip.
This view is of a set of hot water pools separated by travertine ridges made of calcium carbonate.
Mammoth Hot Springs in Yellowstone National Park.
